New Falconry Mascot

Nova, a 15-week-old full white-phase Gyrfalcon, is the latest addition to the Falconry team and new mascot of the U.S. Air Force Academy. Her name was decided by a vote amongst the entire cadet wing. They chose Nova because it means a star showing a sudden increase in brightness, representing the new era of Space Force. (U.S. Air Force photo by Joshua Armstrong)
