B-25 arrives

A World War II era B-25 "Mitchell" bomber was flown to the 934th Airlift Wing May 4 and will be on display at the May wing commander's call. The presence of the bomber pays homage to the Air Force 70th anniversary this year. The plane is the type flown during the Dolittle raid in WW II. The planes were specially modified in Minneapolis prior to the raid to give them the range necessary to reach Japan. The aircraft is owned and flown by a local Twin Cities flying group.
