Defending the Blue Line
Minnesota Army Guard sergeant and goalie Shane Hudella blocks a shot by Buffalo Sabres center Drew Stafford during the Defending the Blue Line charity game at the Ridder Arena at the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis. DTBL, a non-profit organization, was created by a group of National Guard Soldiers to assist families of all branches of the military with the costs associated with their children playing hockey. They provide financial assistance for registration fees, free equipment, summer hockey camps, and send families to the Xcel Energy Center for a Minnesota Wild games, as well as other NHL games in other cities.
