The employees returned to work Monday after four days on furlough last week because of the partial federal government shutdown. Those furloughs ended with Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel's weekend decision to recall most of the military's civilian workers based on a Pentagon legal interpretation of the Pay Our Military Act passed by Congress shortly before the shutdown began. The October UTA was also cancelled due to the government shutdown. Reservists should contact their supervisors for rescheduling options.
