Air Force Child and Youth Programs (AFCYP) are accepting applications for
membership on the Air Force Reserve (AFR) Teen Leadership Council (TLC). The
AFR TLC is a national group of teens selected to represent Air Force Reserve
teens. These teens will provide Air Force Reserve Senior Leadership
perspective on matters affecting geographically dispersed youth. It is the TLC's
job to successfully represent the thousands of military dependent children
around the country.

Through their work, teens will develop leadership skills by planning,
implementation and evaluation of AFR youth programs; develop confidence in
themselves by speaking on behalf of AFR youth at selected functions; and
build positive relationships as they provide leadership at AFR youth
programs.

Eligible members include teens in 9th to 11th grade. Members are required to
attend the AFR TLC Retreat, Jan 2-5, in San Antonio, Texas ; participate in
regularly scheduled conference calls and discussions; lead/assist with child
and youth programs at AFRC Yellow Ribbon events (minimum one annually); and
identify and accomplish at least one TLC goal/project per year to strengthen
AFR youth programs

Applications are due by Nov. 22 to Penny Dale, Youth Specialist, 4-H/AF
