AF Reserve Teen Leadership Council accepting applications Published Oct. 30, 2013 By AFR TLC MINNEAPOLIS-ST PAUL AIR RESERVE STATION -- Air Force Child and Youth Programs (AFCYP) are accepting applications for membership on the Air Force Reserve (AFR) Teen Leadership Council (TLC). The AFR TLC is a national group of teens selected to represent Air Force Reserve teens. These teens will provide Air Force Reserve Senior Leadership perspective on matters affecting geographically dispersed youth. It is the TLC's job to successfully represent the thousands of military dependent children around the country. Through their work, teens will develop leadership skills by planning, implementation and evaluation of AFR youth programs; develop confidence in themselves by speaking on behalf of AFR youth at selected functions; and build positive relationships as they provide leadership at AFR youth programs. Eligible members include teens in 9th to 11th grade. Members are required to attend the AFR TLC Retreat, Jan 2-5, in San Antonio, Texas ; participate in regularly scheduled conference calls and discussions; lead/assist with child and youth programs at AFRC Yellow Ribbon events (minimum one annually); and identify and accomplish at least one TLC goal/project per year to strengthen AFR youth programs Applications are due by Nov. 22 to Penny Dale, Youth Specialist, 4-H/AF Partnership, AFPC/SVPY penny.dale@us.af.mil Click the link below for application form AFR Teen Leadership application
