The 934th Airlift Wing is participating in Exercise Swift Response 15 which is held  August 18-September 12  in Germany, Romania, Bulgaria and Italy.  This is the first iteration of a multinational training event designed around a U.S. Army Brigade-level multinational joint forcible entry or JFE operation involving approximately 3,000 U.S. personnel. The exercise is part of U.S. European Command's Joint Exercise Program designed to enhance joint combined interoperability with allied nations
SR15  is the first iteration of a multinational training event designed around a U.S. Army Brigade-level multinational JFE operation.

The equipment being brought to exercise Swift Response is typical of an Airborne unit that is demonstrating it's ability to rapidly deploy from the U.S. The equipment includes but may not be limited to individual and crew served weapon systems, High Mobility Wheeled Vehicles (HMWWVs), artillery pieces, and engineering equipment.
The Air Force Reserve will provide C-130Hs and aircrew from the 934th Airlift Wing, Minneapolis-St. Paul Air Reserve Station, Minnesota and U.S. Air Forces in Europe will provide C-130Js and aircrew from the 86th Airlift Wing, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

The scenario exercises a joint, multinational force on forcible entry operations that span four countries over a 72-hour period. The exercise demonstrates NATO forces and USEUCOM ability to penetrate contested air space and establish a forward base of operations. U.S. aircraft and helicopter raids in three countries set the stage for a large multinational airborne airfield seizure exercise. Once the forcible entry objective has been achieved, follow-on training will focus on bringing in and building up rapid combat power, including artillery, mechanized and motorized forces.

Exercises like Swift Response allow Airmen to refine and hone their skills. Large exercises and large missions require prepared and professional aircrews. Our Pilots and Loadmasters work in tandem with jumpmasters to ensure Soldiers reach the drop zone on-time and on-target.

Aircrews at Swift Response are drawn from active duty, the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard.  The Air Force provides airlift which enhances the dedication and professionalism of the total force.
