Worldwide, Lt Col. Lynn Rydberg, Capt. Christine Jones, Master Sgt. Zac Johnson, and Tech. Sgt Jodi Wortman are deployed in support of Operation OEF.

Maj. Michael Mackovich, Capt. Mary Donnes, Master Sgt. Penny Billings and Chief Master Sgt. Christopher Knowles are also currently deployed to Travis AFB, Calif. in support of the Integrated Contingency Movement of Patients plan.

The squadron is busy planning and organizing for an upcoming Dissimilar Aircraft Refresher Training event in early August. Five separate AE squadrons from across the country will be represented. This event will provide the AE squadrons with KC-135's, C-130's, and a C-17 for initial and refresher training.

Welcome back Tech. Sgt. Amanda Hightshoe who returns as our newest flight nurse, 2nd Lt. Amanda Piersak. Lieutenant Piersak comes to us from the 440th AW at Pope AFB, N.C. She recently completed the Flight Nurse program at USAFSAM in San Antonio, Texas. Congrats to Airman 1st. Class Jesse Guest who completed his Aeromedical Evacuation Technician program at USAFSAM. Lieutenant Piersak, Airman Guest, and Maj. Wanda Lorsung are currently attending their Initial Aircrew Qualification course at Pope.

Staff Sgt Rory Lieb has recently completed phase II.
Congratulations to Staff Sgt. Jesse Toombs who scored a 90 percent on his 5-level test.
This month was the first month of our newest interim First Sergeant, Master Sgt. Dale Cody, who is helping to fill in the vacancy until our permanent First Sergeant arrives.
The squadron appreciates MSgt Cody's hard work, sacrifice, and dedication.

Congratulations to 1st. Lt. Rebecca Littlefield, who recently gave birth to a little girl, Brooklyn Raine Littlefield. We would also like to take the time to celebrate the win of the AE squadron team at the recent wing golf tournament. The Aeromed team was comprised of Senior Master Sgt. Kevin Cassidy, Master Sgt. Tim Evavold, Staff Sgt. Keith Beyer, and Staff Sgt. Jesse Toombs. Great job representing the AES, gentlemen.
This UTA was the last for Tech. Sgt. Michael Riemer, who will be leaving us for the warmer climate of Pope AFB, N.C., where he will be joining the 440th AES. We wish him the best of luck.

During the August UTA, the AES building will be officially dedicated in honor of Maj. Daniel L. Anderson. Major Anderson was the Senior Air Reserve Technician for the AES from 1994 to 2001. The dedication will take place Saturday afternoon of the August UTA.
