December 15-16 members of the Minnesota Wild, Defending The Blue Line and the National Hockey League Players' Association Goals & Dreams fund visited with Minnesota military families, the 934th Airlift Wing and the 133rd Airlift Wing, (Air National Guard). Members toured the 934th Security Forces Squadron and were able to take some shots with the Firearms Training System at the SFS.

Earlier this year, the NHLPA Goals & Dreams fund donated 100 brand new sets of hockey equipment to Defending The Blue Line. This donation, one of the largest ever by the fund, went towards helping military families keep their kids playing hockey. NHLPA members George Parros of the Anaheim Ducks and Brent Burns of the Minnesota Wild both helped coordinate this equipment donation and are thrilled about the opportunity to give back to the game they love.

Lt. Col. Rick Erredge, 934th Communications Flight commander, presented Burns with a freedom award from the Communications Squadron recognizing his support of military members and their families.
