934th provides path to higher education Published April 20, 2011 By Paul Zadach 934th Airlift Wing Public Affairs Minneapolis-St. Paul Air Reserve Station -- Forty education professionals from Minnesota and Wisconsin descended on the 934th Airlift Wing for Educators Day April 13. Participants included teachers, principals, counselors and administrators who received informational briefings from Col. Darrell G. Young, 934th Airlift Wing commander, and had the chance to fly on a C-130 training mission. "I turned down three substitute teaching offers to come to this event," said Kim Milne, Lakeville South School District substitute teacher. "It was absolutely worth it. I can't wait to get home and tell my son about it. His goal is to become an Air Force flight surgeon, but I know he's going to be jealous when I tell him about this."
