PAUL AIR RESERVE STATION -- After sign out on Saturday, Airmen from the 934th Maintenance group built 150 sandwiches in about 20 minutes to support the The Sandwich Project Minnesota which feeds approximately 4,500 each week in the Twin Cities area. Funds to purchase the sandwich making items come from Air Force Sergeants Association. The sandwiches are built by various organizations throughout the community and go out to area shelters and food shelves. Each group from the 934th Airlift Wing volunteers through their Human Resource Development Council for one quarter of the year to take part in the event. The cost of the sandwiches was $100 for 150 sandwiches and was raised through donations to the AFSA.
