Kimberly Hickey 934th Airlift Wing Public Affairs MINNEAPOLIS-ST PAUL AIR RESERVE STATION -- Captain Patrick M. McDonald, Cyber Operations Officer, 934th Communications Squadron, is the 934th Airlift Wing's Company Grade Officer of the year for 2013. McDonald was recognized by AFRC/A6 for his superb leadership and outstanding performance as acting commander for seven months in 2012. He ensured 100 percent compliance of Information Assurance programs. He championed Cyberspace Mission Systems supporting a full spectrum of tactical communications for the 934th AW. He ensured 100 percent passing Fit to Fight scores for all unit members. McDonald is credited with the remarkable performance of over 2,500 tickets, and decisive leadership as lead planner for the new Viking Common Operating Picture/Emergency Operations Center Command and Control tool, a significant technological leap forward. He is also the Reserve Officer Association Flying Vikings chapter president and has partnered with local workforce centers to provide resume tips and career coaching to veterans.
