Krause named 934th NCO of the Year

Technical Sergeant David D. Krause, Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems Specialist, is the 934th Airlift Wing's Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year for 2013.

Tech. Sgt. Krause deployed for 130 days to Southwest Asia, in non-stop support of Operation Enduring Freedom/Horn of Africa. He supported 950 sorties, 2900 combat flight hours, 3,400 tons of cargo, 2,100 pallets flown, and 5,800 passengers.

He also supported 369 medevac missions, providing safe transportation of injured warriors. Krause demonstrated a 100 percent pass rate on five quality assurance inspections, and was named to the Quality Assurance honor role in March of 2012. He expertly crafted repair of a broken warning panel light housing saving the Air Force $49,301 and returning the aircraft to service.

Krause is also a civilian flight instructor at the University of North Dakota, who enjoys teaching people the joy of flying aircraft safely.
