While most people lately have been questioning their decision to live in Minnesota because of the seemingly endless winter, a pair of ducks have found the 934th Airlift Wing to be most accommodating.

The ducks, known as Mr. and Mrs. D.B. Mallard, are nesting in the landscaping surrounding the wing headquarters building and it looks like they will are expecting about 10 additions to their family judging by the eggs Mrs. Mallard is currently tending to.

The nesting location seems to have been chosen for its close proximity to amenities such as lodging, the BX, and FSS as Mr. Mallard was spotted near FSS applying for an ID card and the DEERS program. It is also thought that the ducks likely wanted to be close to senior leaders as it is rumored they may begin lobbying for construction of a pond nearby.

While that may be difficult during this time of sequestration, it is hoped that they at least stay around long enough for the ORE.
