Commander sends update on hurricane relief

MINNEAPOLIS-ST PAUL AIR RESERVE STATION, MINN. --  Greetings Vikings! I just thought you might like to hear a little about what's going on with Hurricane Maria relief efforts. From here in the AFNORTH DIRMOBFOR office, we get to see a lot of the magnificant work that our mobility enterprise is doing, including missions flown by our own Flying Vikings. In the bigger picture, I can give you a few statistics from our products this morning regarding missions to the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico in support of Hurricane Maria relief efforts: Total Sorties=1118, Aeromedical Evacuation Sorties=189, Total Passengers=6361, and Total Cargo+8370 tons plus 16 pallets of donated goods squeezed onto aircraft where they could! It's an honor and a privilege to work with the team that is making this happen along with FEMA and numerous other federal and state agencies. It is an awesome thing to be able to help so many that need it so badly. Thanks to all our great 934th Airmen who have contributed in these efforts! Skol Vikings!
