MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL AIR RESERVE STATION, Minn. -- The 96th Airlift Squadron held their annual holiday party during the December Unit Training Assembly at the main hangar on base. The event, always among the larger holiday events on base, drew a large crowd of Airmen and their families. The festivities included several inflatable bouncy houses, a C-130 static display, and plenty of food and beverages to go around.
The organizer of the event, 2nd Lt. Samantha Mailhot, also coordinated donations of Christmas trees for those on base who maybe cannot afford their own tree this holiday season. Eighteen trees were generously donated by members of the 934th Airlift Wing so that junior enlisted Airmen can pick up a tree for their home this year.
As a part of the festivities, Mrs. Claus—played by the mother of Major Jonathon Stojan—generously volunteered her time to spread holiday cheer to the attendees of the party. Additionally, Girl Scout Troop 53767 from Cottage Grove, Minn., had a crafting table set up for ornaments and gingerbread to be decorated.
