Colonel CHRISTOPHER D. MAZZEY

Col. Christopher D. Mazzey is the Commander, 934th Mission Support Group, Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport Air Reserve Station, Minnesota. As the commander, he provides leadership and management oversight to ten subordinate squadrons, flights, staff agencies and support to joint and Air National Guard organizations in collaboration of the 934th Airlift Wing's mission to provide airlift forces for Air Mobility Command's global flying mission that consists of eight C-130 aircraft and more than 1,500 traditional Air Force Reservists, Air Reserve Technicians, and federal civilian employees. The group provides agile combat support for all U.S. military services in times of peace, war and national emergency, within the United States and abroad.

A 2003 graduate of the State University of New York, Col Mazzey received his commission from the Academy of Military Science at McGhee-Tyson ANG, TN in 2005. He has held logistics, civil engineering, and services assignments at the flight commander, operations officer, squadron commander, combatant command level staff officer and was previously enlisted for fourteen years. Prior to this assignment, Col Mazzey was the Deputy Commander, 439th Mission Support Group, Westover Air Reserve Base, Massachusetts. Col Mazzey is a Level III Joint Qualified Officer
