Chief Master Sergeant Jennifer L. Murphy

Chief Master Sergeant Jennifer L. Murphy is the Command Chief Master Sergeant of Air Force Reserve Command’s 934th Airlift Wing, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Air Reserve Station, Minn. She advises the commander on all matters concerning the morale, health, welfare, and effective utilization of the enlisted personnel. The chief also serves as the commander’s representative to numerous military and civilian committees, councils, boards as well as military and local civilian community events. The 934th Airlift Wing is comprised of three Groups (Operations, Maintenance, and Mission Support), an Aeromedical Staging Squadron, approximately 1600 Airmen, and eight C-130H aircraft assigned.


Chief Murphy entered the United States Air Force in December of 1997 as an Avionic Sensors Technician on the U-2 Reconnaissance aircraft, assigned to Beale Air Force Base, California. In 2002, she joined the Air Force Reserve as a Communications, Navigation & Mission Systems technician on the KC-135 Stratotanker while assigned to the 940th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. Chief Murphy then transferred to the 934th Maintenance Squadron, Minneapolis-St. Paul ARS, Minnesota. She continued to perform maintenance on the Communication, Navigation & Mission Systems on the assigned C-130 Hercules aircraft.


During the next ten years, she has served as an Avionics Quality Inspector and Avionics Flight Chief. She has deployed in support of Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, SENTINEL TORCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM and INHERENT RESOLVE and the United Nations’ Campaign OLIVE HARVEST. Prior to her current position, Chief Murphy held the position of the Aircraft Maintenance Senior Enlisted Leader for the 934th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.
