All of us in the 934th Airlift Wing have the opportunity on this holiday to reflect on how fortunate we are to live in this great nation.  The holidays are a time for us to connect with family and friends in our own unique ways to celebrate the spirit of the season.

You have volunteered to serve, leaving behind many of the things you know and love to pursue a military career and defend our nation. This is not easy for any of us or our families.  I appreciate your dedication to the 934th Airlift Wing, the Air Force and your country during the holidays and throughout the year.  I could not be any more proud than I am of you and our wing.

For those of us with the good fortune to be able to celebrate the holidays at home, please remember our 934th deployed Airmen and their families and friends who miss them.   I know you join me in wishing the families of our deployed members all the best this holiday season.

As we wind down a little during the holidays, take some time to talk to your fellow Airmen to see how they are doing.  It's something we should all do as Wingmen, not just during the holidays, but all year long. Your safety and welfare is always our concern.  Thanks to you, 2014 has been an amazing year.  As we look forward to 2015, never forget that you are what makes the 934th Airlift Wing a great organization.  I look forward to seeing you in January.

My family and I send our very best wishes to you and your loved ones for the holidays and the New Year.
