COLONEL R. RANDY STOECKMANN

Colonel Roger (Randy) Stoeckmann is the commander of the 934th Mission Support Group, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Air Reserve Station, Minn.  As the group commander, he provides leadership and management oversight to ten subordinate squadrons, flights, staff agencies and other organizations in support of the 934th Airlift Wing's mission to provide airlift forces for Air Mobility Command's global flying mission that consists of 8 C-130 aircraft and more than 1,500 traditional Air Force Reservists, Air Reserve Technicians, and federal civil service employees. 

The group provides agile combat support for all U.S. military services in times of peace, war and national emergency, within the Unites States and abroad and provide mission ready Airmen in accordance with Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command, and Air Mobility Command policy. 

Col. Stoeckmann enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1985. He commissioned through the Army ROTC program at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and was commissioned in 1987.  He served more than nine years with the Wisconsin Army National Guard in several leadership, command, and staff positions at the battery and battalion levels before joining the Air Force Reserve in 1994 at the 440th Airlift Wing. Shortly following the attacks on Sept. 11, he became chief of logistics plans to ensure a smooth transition of preparation of deployments for Operations ENDURING FREEDOM. He has held leadership and command positions at the squadron and wing level and has been tasked to support major initiatives at the major command and Headquarters Air Force levels.  In 2009, Col. Stoeckmann deployed as the AFCENT Special Staff / Deputy Air Reserve Components (ARC) Advisor, Al Udeid Air Base in support of operations IRAQI FREEDOM/ENDURING FREEDOM. Prior to his current position, Col. Stoeckmann was the 459th Mission Support Group commander at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.
