Colonel Richard Erredge is the Commander of the 934th Communications Flight, 934th Airlift Wing, Air Force Reserve Command, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Air Reserve Station, Minn. The 934th CF provides the full range of communication services to the 934th Airlift Wing, 133rd Airlift Wing, Naval Reserve Center and the Army Reserve units stationed here. This includes telecommunications, computer network operations, spectrum management, planning and programming. In addition, they provide customer education in communication and information services as well as mobility readiness training to meet wartime missions.

A native of Minneapolis, Minn., Colonel Erredge joined the Air Force in May 1994 after receiving his commission through the Air Force Reserve Officers' Training Corps at the University of Minnesota in Duluth, Minn. He spent approximately nine years on active duty as a personnel officer at base and MAJCOM levels. During this period he was recognized as the company grade personnel officer of the year three times.

Colonel Erredge joined the Air Force Reserve without a break in service and is in his second unit as a commander. His has won the Air Force Reserve Command Field Grade Personnel Officer of the Year award as well at the Minnesota Federal Civil Servant of the Year. He ensured his current unit earned an "Excellent" rating at its most recent operational readiness inspection and that it was the first unit to achieve such a rating in the previous five years.

Most recently, he deployed as a theater network control center watch officer for European Command in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
